GABA_A receptor antagonist, non-selective for α1, α2, α3 or α5 subunits. Binds at the benzodiazepine site. Used as a reversal agent for benzodiazepines. Reverses tolerance to benzodiazepines and restores the neuroprotective actions of diazepam in ischemia models.
